Lunar Goddesses:
Celebrating Mid-Autumn with DellaLo'
DellaLoâ wishes you a joyous Mid-Autumn and a harmonious family. đ
In Chinese mythology, Changâe is a graceful and gentle woman. Legend has it that she ascended to the Moon Palace after stealing and consuming the elixir of immortality, forever separated from her loved ones. Each year during the Mid-Autumn Festival, people place mooncakes in their courtyards to honor Changâeâs longing for her family. Year after year, this tradition continues...
Â
On the other side of the world, in ancient Greek and Roman mythology, there are also goddesses of the moon â whether they are elegant and noble or as fierce as warriors. Itâs clear that people everywhere have cherished the moon since ancient times.
Letâs explore DellaLoâs moon goddesses together!
Full Moon đ
SELENEÂ Â
Selene is the Titan goddess of the moon in ancient Greek mythology. Selene, also known as the embodiment of the full moon, is depicted as a beautiful woman with a pale complexion, draped in flowing white or silver robes, a crescent moon adorning her head, and a torch in hand. Sometimes she wears a cloak of night adorned with flowers or stars.
The Selene DI  leotard can be found in the DellaLoâ Icons series, a classic design for many years. Its signature features include a stand-up collar and cap sleeves, with an elegant and unique cut. Do you remember the limited edition for the âMid-Autumn Festivalâ?
LUNAÂ
Luna, the counterpart of Selene in Greek mythology, is the moon goddess in Roman mythology. Luna symbolizes the sacredness and radiance of the moon, representing the waxing phase in the triad of goddesses. Did you know? In Italian, "Luna" means "moon."
The Luna CLÂ leotard features romantic lines with a V-neck and pleated sleeves. The neckline is edged with elegant braiding that forms a knot at the front, continuing to define the cut just below the chest.
Rising Moon đ
Artemide
Artemide, one of the twelve Olympian deities, symbolizes purity and light, and is considered the guardian goddess of the moon in ancient Greek mythology. Artemide presides over hunting, wildlife, forests, archery, and chastity. Legend has it that when you wish to ask her something about the moon, she is offered a round focaccia bread, a custom similar to the tradition of "mooncakes."Â
The Artemide CL bodysuit is part of the DellaLo' Classy series, blending the gentlest feminine grace with the most powerful warrior spirit in a refined and dynamic style. Artemide is designed for dancers who constantly push their limits.
Diana
Diana is the moon goddess and protector in Roman mythology, governing purity. She, along with Luna and Proserpina, form the triad of goddesses. Diana holds a significant place in Roman mythology, and many classical artworks depict her.
The Diana leotard can be found in both the DellaLo' Classy series and DellaLo' Icons, characterized by its V-neck design on the back. Wearing the Diana dance attire, one exudes the passion of a warrior and the elegance of a goddess.
Waning Moon đ
EcateÂ
Ecate, also known as Hecate in Greek mythology, is an important Titan goddess revered as the "Goddess of the Dark Moon." She is also one of the most venerated household deities in ancient Athens. Ecate is always associated with the waning moon and the night, seen as a powerful goddess of darkness. She presides over magic and witchcraft, and rules over demons, the night, the moon, ghosts, and the dead. Shakespeare referred to her as the "Queen of Witches" in Macbeth.
The Ecate CLÂ leotard belongs to the DellaLo' Classy series. Its top is made entirely of DellaLo' embroidered sheer fabric, symbolizing magic and adding a touch of mystery to the overall design.
