  Video Interview

Hi, I’m Elisabeth Beyer and I’m in the Corps of Ballet of the American Ballet Theatre.

Where did you study?

I grew up in Rye, New York, Just outside NY city. I started dancing around age four when my mum took me to ballet classes. Then I made progressive training with the Greenwich Ballet Academy and I studied at the “Grand Ballet” Academy and ultimately I went to study at Ellison Ballet in NY City.

Where are you currently working?

When I graduated  Ellison Ballet I received a contract to join the ABT Studio Company, which I joined in 2020, just before the pandemic, after I joined ABT and I’m now on my second year.

When did you decide you wanted to be a ballerina?

I decided I wanted to be a ballerina pretty young, just because I absolutely loved dancing, I loved the idea of performing on stage. I was so lucky to get to watch ABT and NY City Ballet growing up, they gave me a lot of great inspiration about what I wanted to do.

What do you enjoy most about your "Ballerina life"?

I’m so lucky to be a ballet dancer now. I love practicing, finding imperfections, keep working on technique, artistry, all the good things. Of course, I love performing on stage and getting to explore new roles, and new styles, that’s super fun!

Do you have any rituals in your daily life?

I love a good iced coffee with milk, that’s my fav!

Can you tell us about a special occasion for you during your dancing career? What emotions did you experience?

A special moment in my career would be most recently performing at YAGP 25th Anniversary Gala. It was really full circle to return to such a beautiful community of loving dancers and artists, who I feel I got to grow up with, as I did accomplish from age 15 to age 19.

It was really unique and special to return back home in a way, to perform again.

What are your thoughts about the DellaLo' leotards you've chosen?

I love these leotards and skirt, they’re so pretty!!

Elisabeth choose Diana CL leotard in Bordeaux, Kali GL leotard in Vapore and Minerva DI leotard in Turandot.
Go, check them out!
